I have narrow feet but a wide footbed, and I have bunions on both feet and back problems. This shoe is very comfortable for my wide footbed, and I feel very steady when I walk despite my back pain. My shoes prior to buying this one all had higher heels, so I gradually adapted to wearing this by starting out at 1 hour and gradually increasing an hour at a time to 6 hours per day. At the end of 6 hours, I find I have been changing to a shoe with a higher heel height (although not a high heel) which at this time feels good. I am on my feet a lot but at a slow pace. Try this shoe if like me you have painful bunions, and I can almost guarantee that this shoe will be very comfortable.
